Ms. Loo has dedicated her life to providing services to social caring and family education. Her talks focus on family harmony, parenting and gender relations. She is the General Secretary of The Family Development Foundation Ltd. She was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) in 2005 and was appointed as a Justice of the Peace (JP) in 2008 and the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by The Government of the HKSAR. In 2020, she was named one of the Most Successful Women by a women’s magazine Jessica. She was awarded an Honorary Fellow of the Education University of Hong Kong in October 2020.

Ms. Loo is serving as the Vice-chairman of the Public Libraries Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR), Board of Advisors of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), Advisory Committee on Mental Health, Equal Opportunities Commission.
